After watching an enormous amount of TV as a child, Kate realized there was only one thing she wanted to do… become a professional Irish Dancer (a result of a crush on Michael Flatley). When that dream became less of a reality after quitting the jigs, Kate realized a job as a telly presenter would be just as exciting.

Beating 10,000 other hopefuls in MTV’s search for a presenter, Kate was thrown in at the deep end with only her quick wit, boundless enthusiasm and relaxed charm to arm her and was instantly hosting her own daily show for their freeview channel, TMF. She stayed on at MTV and TMF for 2 years, interviewing popstars, presenting live request shows and sneaking backstage at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice awards. Kate’s knowledge and love of popacts, boybands and chart music meant she was in her element.

Having honed her presenting skills at MTV, Kate went on to the much-loved CBBC Saturday morning show, Hider In The House along side JK and Joel. She also presented shows for 4 Music, Disney and The National Lottery as well as live events such as Wireless Festival and EA Gaming week and online content for Facebook, The Poppy Appeal and Fashionair.com. In 2013/2014 Kate presented Who Let The Dogs Out and About for CBBC – a childrens’ Saturday morning show with dogs… which was a success despite what they say about working with kids and animals and Kate showed her down-to-earth, ready-to-get-buried-in-snow-and-smothered-by-dogs'-slobber side.

Kate is now the brand new writer and presenter of BBC America's YouTube channel: Anglophenia - which explains British culture to an American audiencewith a touch of humour... or should that be humor? Her first video received over half a million views within the first week with subsequent episodes such as "How to Swear Like A Brit" going viral and being picked up by the national press. She has recently acquired an O-1 visa and is available to work in the U.S.

Keen to release her inner eco geek, last year, Kate launched her brand new YouTube channel and blog called ECO BOOST. Here, she shares her love of all things organic, her “zero waste” lifestyle and her favourite eco discoveries with her growing subscribers. With content such as how to shop for stylish second hand clothing, non-toxic make up finds or tips from her eco-friendly wedding, Kate is in her eco-element creating vlogs, interviews, lookbooks and collabs on her channel! She has worked with brands including Ikea, People Tree, Ecohabitude and 100% Pure make up to create engaging and entertaining content around sustainability. Kate was also asked to become a Soil Association ambassador in September 2016 and is excited to be involved with their incredible campaigns in the future.

Kate's other interests include listening to current country music, learning the harmonica and cooking from scratch. She's a big foodie and is keen to start cooking with fire as well as forage and hunt in the wild. Kate has also written and part illustrated her own children’s book; an enchanting tale of a dragon… named Paul…Whose wings are too small!

Kate got married in September 2014 to Mark Arnell and has changed her last name from Edmondson to Arnell. Kate is the sister of fellow TV presenter, Matt Edmondson who can be seen hosting the Xtra Factor and his Radio 1 show.
